Why lossless JP2?

It is the only format out there at the moment that supports high color depth (16 bit) and pristine lossless quality. Would TIFF be an alternative? Well – we did some testings. A pack of four APOLLON.14K scanned films would result in 150 GB TIFF downloads. 😉

How do I open JP2 files?
